Rangers hang 30 runs on Baltimore, most ever by a team in a game

Texas outscores the Orioles 30–3 at Camden Yards, a number no major league lineup had ever reached before.

By late August 2007, the Texas Rangers were a fourth-place club with little left to play for. None of that showed on August 22, when they visited Camden Yards and put up 30 runs on the Baltimore Orioles, winning 30–3. It was the most runs any team had scored in a single major league game in the modern era, and the most ever scored on the road. Michael Young, Mark Teixeira, Ian Kinsler, Hank Blalock, and Kenny Lofton all had a hand in the barrage…
